A selection of essays written for the inaugural conference of the International Society for Intermedial Studies, “Rethinking Intermediality in the Digital Age,” organized by the Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, between the 24th and 26th of October 2013. The conference also launched a new research project on intermediality supported by the National Research Council and the Executive Agency for Higher Education Research and Innovation Funding, Romania (CNCS-UEFISCDI, project nr. PN-II-ID-PCE-2012-4-0573).
