The International Scientific Journal of Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, Cluj-Napoca (Romania), publishes original papers in English in several areas of sciences. Initiated by Sándor Tonk (1947−2003), the first Rector of Sapientia Hungarian University of Transylvania, it was brought to fruition by Antal Bege (1962−2012), the first Editor-in-Chief.
The series of the journal Acta Universitatis Sapientiae form two groups based on the publishing policy as follows:
- The series Alimentaria, Agriculture and Environment, Economics and Business, Philologica, Social Analysis, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, and Legal Studies are published by Scientia Publishing House. These are open access series. We follow the rules the OA definition formulated in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI). Users are allowed to view, save, copy, distribute, print, search, or link the full content or use them for any legitimate purposes without the prior consent of the author or publisher.
No Submission Charges
No costs are charged for submitting a manuscript for publication in the above series of the Journal.
No Article Processing Charges (APCs)
No costs for copyediting and type setting of accepted articles are charged for manuscripts submitted to these series of the Journal.
- As of the year 2025, the series Mathematica, Informatica, and Film and Media Studies are published with Springer Nature.
These series appear under a hybrid publishing model, allowing authors to opt either for subscription-based (no APC required) or open access (APC applies) publication. This choice is offered once the paper has been accepted.
